*6 egg yolks
*6 tablespoons white sugar, divided
*1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
*2-1/2 cups heavy cream
*2 tablespoons brown sugar

The classic creme brulee is so yummy and quite easy to make, it just takes a bit of prep work. The ingredients are simply enough. And no matter what people tell you, everything is better with a torch!

I came here quite a few times when they first opened and enjoy their desserts very much. Unfortunately, I’m not in the area as much anymore but will pop by when I have the chance.

The decor is very cutesy and everything has a bold pop of colour. It’s just how I like it and the atmosphere is very at ease. You can spend hours catching up with a friend here. You have your own privacy and can talk comfortably. Their flavours and sauces change so it may be different each time you go.


The Throat Soother is a nice blend of peppermint, orange peel and echinacea (coneflower). I love that they have an hourglass to let you know when your tea is done steeping. There’s also a little tray for you to put your tea bag aside to steep later.


I’ve never had a Baked Alaska but it was interesting! This one had a pineapple ice cream and vanilla cake inside topped with meringue. There were different textures and it was a mixture of warm and cold which was new for me. I didn’t mind it because everything was yummy but it’s not something I love.


Their Frozen Creme Brulee is just what you expect. It has the same smooth, creamy texture of creme brulee but cold instead of hot. I didn’t even know this was a thing but it tastes just as good! I do prefer it hot though but I would get this again.


The Vanilla Souffle and Chocolate Sauce was one of my favourites! It takes 20 mins to make so be sure you aren’t in a rush. It comes out puffed and bouncy. I cut a bit of it open and poured the sauce in after trying it by itself. It’s airy and light, the perfect tasting souffle!


Thier Chocolate Lava Cake comes with a scoop of sorbet and a macaron shell. I was a little dissapointed because the centre didn’t really ooze out for me. I think it may have been a little overcooked sadly…


Their Cafe Affogato uses real espresso that you pour over the ice cream and this tastes the best when you use good quality ingredients. They got it right at Sweet Note since they make everything themselves, except the drinks.


I love their Black Sesame and Chocolate Mousse. This was a special monthly flavour that is rotated monthly. It was smooth and SO creamy! The taste was strong and an added plus is that you get to keep the bottle! I use mine to hold all my bobby pins.


I tried their Black Sesame and Matcha Macarons and these were also something I would get again. The filling was smooth and the macaron shell was hard on the outside but soft on the inside.
